Stress, hypertension, and trauma have become a part of life. Some people experience them in short episodes while others struggle with them for days at a stretch.

Any event that has caused stress and trauma in your life can be defined as a situation that possesses an extreme degree of risk/harm/danger. It could be either to you or somebody you know. Some of these situations can be extremely frightening and that could result in a lot of stress.

There is a constant and lingering fear that you experience. You feel that the traumatic thing that happened to your friend might happen to you as well. You may lose control or break down completely in certain situations.

Shaking and trembling of the hands and feet are also very common symptoms of mental disorders and diseases. You may also experience cold sweats and a feeling of getting choked whenever you are close to people. A patient is just not able to stop acting or reacting to certain situations and people around them.

 3. Sadness And Helplessness

There is also a feeling of sadness and grief that a lot of people struggle with. This happens when someone close to them dies or is suffering from a life-altering disease.

 4. Changes In Sleep Patterns  

This is one of the most common symptoms of stress and trauma in your life. You may experience insomnia and nightmares which results in a massive disturbance in your sleep patterns.

 5. Loss Of Appetite 

Don't feel like eating your favorite meal? This is quite common. People would often indulge in excessive alcohol and nicotine instead. Some also resort to drugs to cope with these symptoms. This further hampers their appetite and reduces their body weight as well. 

 6. Guilt And Anger 

If you are suffering from guilt and anger, it is advised to consider counseling. You may end up blaming yourself and your loved ones for certain situations. This is not a healthy attitude and needs to be intervened into soon. You should seek some sort of anger management session for this if the problem gets out of hand.

You need to identify your friends and family members who can be a source of support for you. The support of your loved ones is going to help you through any kind of stressful and traumatic experience. You will be able to successfully navigate through the most difficult phase of your life if you have your loved ones supporting you.

 2. Do Not Ignore Self-Care

Self-care and grooming are important. You need to take care of yourself. Get some kind of physical activity that gets you sweating. Enjoy your time with the people you love and invest in art, music, gardening, yoga, or any other activity that you enjoy.

 3. Be More Patient

You need to give yourself some time. You need to be more patient with your feelings and allow yourself the time to cope with them.

 4. Face Your Emotions

Do not suppress but let out your emotions and feelings. It is time you talked about them with courage and a strong will.

 5. Laugh More Often

Start laughing more often. Start loving your life and everything in it that makes you happy. You will find plenty of reasons to be alive and kicking.
