Travel Diary : Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

This was a Much needed and way Over Due Vacation!!!

I love traveling and seeing new places and I haven't been on a vacation in a Hot Minute, so I was super excited when my girls (The Crew) decided to plan a trip to Cabo!!! We will talk about My Crew in a little bit, and I will share all about our adventures during that week as well. I want to give some tips also, and share what I learned during this trip.

We decided to go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as our first trip Abroad together as friends. Mexico is close by (Since we are in California), so it was perfect. Our trip was From October 10th - 16th and October is a good time to vacation, because it's not super busy like it is in the summer time. If you don't want to be part of the crazy Party Scene that is something to think about. We stayed at the Sandos Finisterra, and we had an amazing Ocean View. I got up almost every morning and went out on our balcony to look out at the ocean before it got to hot. The Humidity was not a Joke!!! It was 90s pretty much during that entire week!!!

Views.... From the Balcony

On day 1 we got settled in our hotel and then hit the ground running with different activities on Day 2 until our last day. There was an all inclusive option with our hotel, which I highly recommend, because we didn't have to worry about where we were going to eat everyday... it was all there in our hotel.

Honestly the food was just ok, somethings were better than others... but it wasn't something to run home and tell your mom about!! (oh well) At least it looked pretty!!

My Favorite part of the of the trip were the activities!!! We did an activity almost everyday, and even though I was exhausted after everything and felt like I did a full body workout during vacation. I had the time of my life and did things that I have never done before. I was super nervous, but you have to get out there and try things at least once just to say that you did it!!

We Rode ATVs, went Snorkeling, Zip Lining and went on a City tour.

Ready to Ride!!! I was literally covered in Dirt after we finished riding on the ATVs.

We rode through the desert and ended up by the beach...

Later that day after we rode ATVs we went Zip lining... 2 activities in 1 day was a lot!!!

Introducing... The Crew!!! (we gained that name in High School) From Left to right Jazzmyne, Anastasia (but we call her Stasi) and Jennifer. We are missing Shontell (aka Shonti) She wasn't able to come on the trip this time. We have been friends Since Middle School (7th grade) and have shared many milestones in each others lives.

T Shirts are from Black and Abroad

Ok Back to Zipping through the Desert...

There were I think 7 different zip lines... didn't know there would be so many!!!

We also Repelled down a side of a mountain, everyone in our group was terrified... and I decided to go First, and I was shaking on the inside on the way down. But, I did it!!

Made it to the Bottom!!!

After a day of Extreme Sports... We went Snorkeling and went on a Pirate boat adventure!!!

With Jen taking a Pedi Cab to the dock... it actually only took us about half way, and then we had to walk the rest of the way.

Like I said... we went on a Pirate Adventure!!

Sailing to the Sea of Cortez... the Famous Arch in the background.

We jumped off of the side of the boat into the water!!! then off we went... I saw all different kinds of Fish and they swim right up to you. it was so crazy being in the middle of the Ocean. Swimming back to the boat was rough, but it was a cool experience!!

City Tour... Sight Seeing and Partying

We went to a Glass Blowing Factory and saw how they hand make glass fixtures, Figures, and house hold products. So much much work and creativity goes in to each piece of glass, and it was interesting to see!!

Pieces made in the factory.

Walking though the city...

It's not vacation with out going out and dancing the night away...

There was a White Party at our hotel on the beach with food and traditional Mexican dancing and music, so we had to come out and Slay!!!

Ready for the night!!! Where we stayed we were close to the marina, mall and part of town where the party scene was pop'n, so it was easy to go out and have a good time.

Dancing on top of Tables... Fist pumping all night!!! Squid Roe is one of the places that Every Body talks about in Cabo

Pool Time!!!!

I'm happy I was able to go to Cabo and have this experience with my friends...

Some tips and things that I learned on this trip are...

- Beware of Scammers!!!

- It is easy to get a deal while out shopping, don't take the first price given. There are tons of stores with the same exact things in them and everyone has their own prices.

- Bring plenty of Tip Money!!! Everyone in Cabo seems to work for Tips, and in every Taxi, excursion, tour... ( I could go on for Days!! They all ask for tips)

- Don't eat the Lettuce or the Salad!! They always say don't drink the water in Mexico and the produce is washed with the water there, so it's not a good idea if you are out in town. At your Hotel or Resort you should be ok.

- Flying Spirit Airlines is a Terrible Idea!!!!

I look forward to learning more along the way and sharing my next adventure!!!
