The Only Shoe Trends You Need To Try in 2022

In the post-pandemic (hopefully!), we are all ready to embrace new ideas, and it’s just the right time to update your closet. Runway trends for Spring/Summer 2022 & Fall/Winter 2022 were full of incredible surprises. From chunky bags to crochet ideas, everything was about celebrating the return of the new normal. We have handpicked some amazing shoe trends that definitely need your attention, focusing on the practical side of fashion.

Love for wedges

Let’s agree that while it’s impossible to ignore the love for pencil heels, stilettoes are rarely comfortable. This spring 2022, you can ditch your heels for relaxed wedges. Wedge heels look incredible, especially when matched with shorts, maxi dresses, or even your summer suits. You can go for slider-inspired wedges for a chic look. You can view more of the style here.

Return of knee-high boots

If you need to pick just one pair of boots this year, go for this one. Besides being a truly easy choice for winters, knee-high boots work well with diverse outfits. Leather boots are great, but you can also ditch the standard ideas for something like vegan leather. For an edgy look, match your boots with micro skirts or minidresses.

Chunky Sandals for comfort

Love the comfort of crocs but hate the design? Go for chunky sandals! One of the biggest trends of Spring/Summer 2022, chunky sandals were a major thing in the collections of top labels like MaxMara and Hermès. You can team these sandals and sliders with almost any casual outfit, and don’t miss out on the squishy designs with lots of padding. Team your favorite pair of blue denims with a white tee and get ready for a fun summer!

Platforms of the year

If there’s one trend that worked well across all seasons, platform heels have to be the one. Labels like Acne, Bottega Veneta, and Saint Laurent showcased a wide range of designs, including styles like ankle straps and tie-up details. You can try these platforms for any outfit that demands a dose of glamour. There are some amazing 70s-inspired designs too.

Easy with athletic sneakers

Sometime back, baseball sneakers were a major highlight, with top sports and athleisure brands coming up with their versions of the style. This time, you are more likely to see athletic sneakers, and these are super easy to style. Wear your sneakers with any maxi dress or skirt for the summer, and if you want to head out for shopping, team your athletic sneakers with shorts and a cropped top.

Furry designs also deserve mention. While fur trims and similar designs were more prominent in Spring/Summer collections, the trend is as practical for the fall. We hope this post helped you find your true shoe styles for the year. For more ideas and amazing posts, don’t forget to follow the blog.
