The Rebels in Spring
When dope collabs come together....
Several weeks ago I had an event [Trendy Thursday], and one of my good friends who is also a model [Trey] was there. We were talking and he had mentioned doing a shoot together, and I thought it was an amazing idea!!!! Literally the next day we started putting ideas together and started planning. My Friend Alex [The photographer] had been wanting to work with me, so it was perfect timing!!!
Fast forward... Myself and Trey decided to do 2 very different looks, but I think that they work very well together. We found some inspirational photos sent them to Alex and he found the area for us to shoot. Team work makes the dream work!! I honestly couldn't be more happy with how this shoot came out. we knew that our ideas were going to be good, but didn't know how amazing it was really going to be!!!!

People often ask me how I've been able to get out there and do so much with out representation. My answer is when you don't have opportunities coming to you... you often have to get out there and make them happen yourself!! Being a model of color here in San Diego is HARD!! Often times there are not the same opportunities out here for us as there are for others or there is only 1 style [which is often of the urban variety]. There is nothing wrong with it everyone likes what they like, but I often feel like I don't fit in to what people "want" or are looking for. So I love being able to work with my friends and come up with creative ideas and just get out there and do them!!!

Don't be afraid to get out there and create things that you want to be apart of!!!! I can't be more grateful to have people like Trey and Alex in my corner!!! There are more projects in the works!! This is only the beginning!!
