My Top 5 Favorite Summer Fashion Trends in 2021
It is officially Summer time and it is time to pull out all of those fun looks that you have been waiting to wear all year!! There are quite a few trends that I have been in love with for the season that I am excited to experiment with and style. Trendy items are fun to wear, but they are not a must!! Make sure your own personal style matches and that it feels like you :) . Style should always be fun and not feel forced.
Here are my top 5 Summer 2021 style trends below… A couple have moved and transitioned from Spring.
1. Puffy Statement Sleeves
2. Pastels
3. Different types of straps
4. Nudes, Neutrals and Browns
5. Glitter
Puffy Sleeves are definitely the mood of the Summer for me!!! To me they help bring an accent or flavor to a look. You can keep an outfit simple and just add a sleeve in to the mix.
Puffy sleeves are on dresses and different style tops, so there is so much variety to play around with. Try adding a piece with a bold sleeve to your wardrobe and see what you think.
Pastels !!!! Moving from Spring to Summer, they are still very much in the mix and I think that they will stick around for a little while longer. If you are not in to neons… try adding a pop of pastel colors in to your wardrobe.
Different strap styles are another one that is fun to play with, because there are so many different styles to choose from and play with. I mentioned the one shoulder and asymmetrical style in my Spring trends post, which is still very on trend now as well. From backless tops to shoulder ties there are a ton of different looks to check out this season.
Nudes and browns have been speaking to me recently, and it is something that I was never really in to before. It is something that has definitely grown on me and is something that you can mix and match with or even do a mono chrome look with as well. Different brown tones together is definitely a vibe and you don’t know what you are missing till you just try it out for yourself. You just may become a believer like I did.
Glitter is something that is always a go to me. Anything that sparkles catches my eye!!! But I have noticed a lot more sparkly things popping up this season. Glitter and sparkle is another great accent to add to any look. It could be on a belt, bag or shoe. Or You could go all out and wear a full suit, dress or pants. It depends on your vibe. Do what works for you!!
