San Diego’s Ultimate Cinco de Mayo Celebration Returns to Old Town for a Weekend of Celebration, Shops, Food, and Fiesta!

SAN DIEGO, CA – Celebrating its 38th year, the annual Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo returns for a free weekend of music, food, and culture on Saturday, April 30th from 10am-10pm and Sunday, May 1st from 10am-6pm. This free family-friendly fiesta transforms the historic neighborhood of Old Town into a bustling mercado with artisan makers, vibrant décor, dozens of dining options, bountiful margarita selections, and live performances throughout the weekend. This celebration also gives attendees the opportunity to explore what is known as the ‘Historic Heart’ of San Diego with visits to museums and historical sites of California’s first settlement.

Spanning across 7 blocks, this community celebration features lanes of mini-tiendas (stores) where visitors can find rows of colorful trinkets, fine art, traditional and non-traditional crafts, and dozens of other offerings to peruse. Throughout the Fiesta restaurants and food vendors will be dishing out delicious food and drinks with specials running throughout the weekend! Featuring a wide variety of restaurants and street food vendors, Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo is truly a feast for the senses with world-famous margaritas, ice cold cervezas, handmade tortillas, and menus filled with the flavors of Fiesta.

Come for the food and shopping but be sure to stay for the music and entertainment as Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo is set to entertain with live music, local bands, mariachis, ballet folklorico, flamenco, street performances, and more to dazzle attendees throughout the weekend.
