Shockingly Easy DIY Styling/Beauty Trends for Summer 2023

Depending on where you live, this summer has either been a miserable affair or something like the end of the world. But it is far from over, and you can try some DIY styling/beauty trends this year. From almost invisible brows to the ultra-stylish dewy skin look, you are on your way to looking your best.

Get the Look with 90s Volume

Trends from the 1990s haven't really gone anywhere, and the influence of the decade permeates throughout all popular culture. A little more toned down the 80s volume (think Stevie Nicks), the 90s volume is more refined and controlled. Your local hair salon may be offering this stunning trend right now, but you can get this at home using volumizing hair care products, velcro rollers, and hairspray to hold your hair in place, but not as much as Jon Bon Jovi.

Almost Invisible Eyebrows

It seems like for ages now that slimline, streaked, and even bushy brows have been fashionable. No matter the style, we have always seen them. So perhaps now it is time to let other parts of the eye shine. Barely visible brows are trending right now and can be seen on the runways by designers like Gaultier. To get the desired effect, use an eyebrow pencil with light strokes in the direction of your eyebrow hair. But it is essential that care and time are taken.

DIY Styling Trends Includes Blush

Blush is an essential part of anyone's makeup bag and for good reason. Good blush gives you an energetic and attractive look, evening out your complexion for great looking skin. Over the years, blush trends have changed, from barely noticeable, to the current hot trend of bold blush. Bold blush involves applying a little more than usual to more areas of your cheeks. When paired with sun-kissed bronzing methods, the results can be astounding and look healthy.

Wet Look Skin Effects

Glistening skin is a goal for most makeup techniques. When skin looks wet and shiny, it somehow always appears to be healthier and very attractive. Dewy skin is currently trending among models and stylists and couldn't be easier to achieve. Depending on the result you want, exfoliate more or less. This provides a good foundation. Then apply vitamin C products such as La Roche-Posay 10% Pure Vitamin C Face Serum toner, and layer up your usual toner.

Easy on the Contouring

For almost two decades, we have been subjected to an unusual amount of contouring because of its extensive use by the Kardashians. Well, the time is over, and while the popular method is still in use, it is now more trendy to take it easy when sculpting. In fact, the current trend is to look like there is no makeup, with more of a natural appearance. The easiest way to accentuate the natural features of the face is with a delicate touch instead of defining them artificially.

DIY styling/beauty trends for this year are surprisingly easy to achieve at home. Some of the more popular include 90s volumizing, full-on blusher, and accentuating natural features of the face.
