Things To Do In San Diego: Carlsbad Flower Fields & Rancher Hat Bar
Springtime is here!!!! There are all different fun events that pop up in San Diego as soon as the sun starts shining a bit more. We have had some interesting weather this season that I am kind of unsure about, but have also had some nice days as well!! Anyway with spring comes flowers in lots of vibrant colors, and the Carlsbad flower fields are back!! I had a chance to go last month during the beginning of the season and had an amazing time!! The flowers weren’t all in full bloom yet, but if you go now till the end of the season all the blooms should be open by now.
This is actually only my second time going to the fields (I’ve been in SD all my life… better late than never), and this time I had the chance to walk around the whole area and see the other attractions that are on the grounds. There are exhibits and art installations that are worth taking a look at and checking out along with the flowers. A couple of things to note, not everything is included with your ticket to the fields. There are some extras that you will have to pay for once you are inside, like the butterfly encounter ($5 credit or debit only) and tractor wagon ride ($8 Adults and $4 children 3-10 credit or debit only), so keep that in mind as you plan. Also your tickets must be purchased online ahead of time, there aren’t any box offices open for you to make ticket purchases once you arrive.

The field of Ranunculus are the main event, but there are other sections of florals to explore throughout the property…
The flower fields does host events throughout the season that you can attend. Find more information about their event calendar here.
I had such a great time, being able to go and hangout at the fields this season. It’s something to enjoy with anyone who wants to get out and explore!!!
You know I had to include my style of the day and what I wore… right!!!
The flower fields are open until May 11, 2025!!!! That is something to keep in mind. It doesn’t last forever unfortunately…

I mentioned my hat above in my outfit details… well there is another fun thing to check out in San Diego in the Pacific Beach area, called Rancher Hat Bar!!! It is a custom hat bar where you can go and create your own style. They have different hat styles to choose from (Trucker, Cowboy, flat top brim hats, just to name a few), and you pick out the accessories that you would like. They have so many decorative options to choose from. There’s different pricing for each piece!!! I had a chance to visit during their grand opening and had so much fun customizing my hat. You can see it pictured…
Rancher Hat Bar is originally from Arizona, but is expanding to different areas. I think that this hat bar is such a fun place to bring friends and family to do something different and be super creative. It is a fun way to express your own personal style, and have something that is one of a kind!!
The hat customization is a collaborative effort the associates, do everything in front of you and make sure that your hat is the way that you like it!!! Learn more about Rancher Hat Bar here.
